GARP's Contribution

The globalization of financial markets, the emergence of international banking regulations, and the rapid growth of sophisticated products have dramatically elevated the role risk management plays in today’s economy.  Being able to properly manage risk has now become crucial, not just for organizations, but for countries and governments as well. 

In order to be competitive, successful and sound in the global marketplace, everyone involved in finance today must understand and use the same terminology and adhere to the same standards.  GARP’s goal is to help organizations create a culture of risk awareness enabling them to properly manage risk and stay on top of new developments and best practices more easily.  We have helped central banks, governmental agencies and regulatory bodies with customized country specific programs by leveraging our access to expertise within the world of financial risk management.
