Existing members of GARP may upgrade their membership to a different tier at anytime. Membership fees are effective for one year from the date you join and are non-refundable.    

Individual Membership (USD $150)*

• Free annual subscription to GARP Risk Review (published 6 times a year)
• Substantial registration discounts on GARP Events, such as the Annual Convention, Conferences and Training Seminars

• A 30% discount on most publications in the GARP Digital Library
• Participation within the GARP On-line Community

• Attendance at local chapter meetings free of charge
• Opportunity to take the FRM exam and be certified as a Financial Risk Manager
• Opportunity to register for the International Certificate in Banking Risk and Regulation

Student Membership (USD $50)*

• Includes all the benefits of an Individual Membership except voting rights. Exclusively available to those who are enrolled FULL TIME in a university pursuing a degree in a risk-related field.
• An official transcript or other proof of enrollment (must be accompanied by a Student Membership Discount Request Form ) must be received within 30 days of registration in order to keep your student status (No copies or unofficial transcripts will be accepted).
• Students have the option of paying online for an Individual Membership (USD $150). Once we receive your official transcript or proof of full-time enrollment, we will issue a $100 refund for Student Membership Discount. All transcripts must be accompanied by a Student Membership Discount Request Form .

Fellow Membership (USD $150)*

• Includes all the benefits of Individual membership, however is exclusive to current Individual members who are FRM certified.
• GARP automatically upgrades Individual members who are FRM certified to Fellow status.
  
  Special note to FRMs:  Global acceptance of the FRM certification program is growing. Since 1997, 13,685 individuals have successfully completed the FRM Certification program, representing 4,500 plus companies world-wide. In addition to the high quality of individuals who participate in the program, the growth and acceptance of the FRM program is dependent upon GARP's marketing efforts, which are funded through membership dues. Global promotion of the FRM program adds value to the credential you have worked so hard to earn. GARP strongly encourages all FRM holders to continue Individual Membership status since doing so directly contributes to our ability to market the program, thereby increasing the global recognition of the program and the prestige of your certification. Keep in mind that as an Individual Member, you will continue to receive a free subscription to GARP Risk Review, substantial discounts on GARP events and training courses, unlimited website access, daily email alerts and invitations to FRM only events and offers.

• Attendance at local chapter meetings free of charge

*Please be advised that GARP automatically renews individual membership one year from the initial sign up date for those who pay via credit card. An email notification will be sent to you four weeks prior to your renewal date. Automatic membership renewal refunds will not be credited after 60 days.
