Overview

Model Risk Management (MRM) is an integral part of the overall risk management process within banks that rely on models for measuring and reporting risk. As regulatory requirements evolve it is important to differentiate the use cases and understand the specific criteria for assessing and validating the underlying models.

Join the GARP Mumbai Chapter as we discuss MRM governance frameworks and approaches for maintaining an approved inventory of models fit for purpose.

Key topics will include:

  • MRM frameworks
  • MRM function and life cycle
  • Model assessment criteria
  • Model validation organization structure for banks
  • Model inventory and its coverage across domains
  • The evolution of MRM over time and the primary challenges posed by shifts in the regulatory landscape (Fireside chat with Debdipta Manjumdar)
