How do l register?
Go to the training workshop listing that you wish to attend. Click on the ‘register me’ button (this will take you to our online registration page).
Alternatively, you can download a generic registration form here and scan or fax the form to training@garp.com or +44 (0)207 626 9300
Upon receipt of your registration, you will automatically be sent an acknowledgement e-mail. Approximately one week before the workshop, you will receive the final registration details (please contact us if you have not received these five days before the workshop).
How do I pay for a workshop?
Payments can be made by credit card, check, or wire transfer. An invoice will be sent to you upon receipt of your registration.
For online registrations, you can immediately download your invoice
For faxed/e-mailed registration requests, the invoice will be e-mailed to you within 2 working days
Please note:
In order to guarantee your place on a registered workshop, full payment is required within 2 weeks. Acceptance of a workshop constitutes a liability for the relevant workshop fee and is subject to our terms and conditions (as outlined in our ‘Delegate Cancellation Policy’).
What does the workshop fee include?
The workshop fee includes the following:
Workshop materials (these materials can be purchased separately – please contact us for more information); No part of the materials may be reproduced without our permission.
A light breakfast, lunch and refreshments during the day
What do l need to bring?
In the final registration e-mail, you will be advised whether it will be necessary to bring a laptop, financial calculator, or any other equipment.
What is the workshop timetable?
Unless otherwise advised, workshops start at 9:00AM and finish at 5:00PM
Where will the course take place?
Unless otherwise advised, all workshops are held either in our London or New Jersey offices. Click here for a map and directions to both.
Is accommodation provided?
Delegates are responsible for their own accommodation and should arrange this in advance. Please contact us if you would like a list of nearby hotels
Can you help with my visa application?
If you are travelling from overseas and need to obtain a visa, we can provide a letter to support your visa application (once you have paid the required workshop fees)
What is the dress code?
The dress code is smart-casual
What if l need to cancel?
Should you be unable to attend a workshop, you may nominate a substitute delegate at no extra cost. We regret that due to limited delegate spaces, no refunds can be made
What happens if GARP cancels a workshop?
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a workshop as necessary. We will make every effort to notify registered delegates as soon as a workshop has been cancelled either by e-mail or phone calls. We will reimburse training workshop fees in full to delegates, however, GARP is not liable for any travel-related expenses or expenses related to any changes in travel arrangements.
Please note:
If the circumstance should arise in which training fees need to be refunded to the delegate, they will be refunded at the same amount as was originally received by GARP, and in that same currency.
Can l obtain Continuing Education credits?
Continuing Education credits are available but vary from workshop to workshop. Please consult with a member of our Training Services team and they will follow up on your request.
Please note:
GARP is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. CPD credits are also available for ACCA designees. Please contact the ACCA at www.accaglobal.com for further information.
CE credits are also available for certain programs approved by the CFA Institute. Look for the CFA's CE qualified activity logo on selected training workshops and iRisk Webinars. As a CFA, your participation will be automatically recorded in your CE Diary.
Can l get a certificate of attendance?
A certificate of attendance can be provided upon request
Do you provide in-house training?
GARP has extensive global experience in this area and can tailor our training workshops for an organization’s specific needs. Please consult with a member of our Training Services team and they will explore this option with your organization.
Other Information
We follow an interactive teaching method (lectures, discussion, case studies and exercises). To gain the full benefit of this method, workshop size is limited.
