Resources for Your Students
The GARP Research Center also provides resources and opportunities catered towards students. Faculty members are encouraged to inform their students of these various resources to help guide them in building their risk management careers.
FRM Scholarship Program
Each year GARP awards FRM scholarships to qualified individuals. The scholarship covers the cost of the FRM exam registration fee and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
College Chapters
GARP College Chapters give students a forum to communicate their ideas and network amongst their peers. Participation in chapter activities gives students the chance to better understand professional life and workplace expectations, thus helping them to be well-equipped for career opportunities in the risk management community.
Career Center
The GARP Career Center is a free online job board specializing in financial risk management, and was
created as a benefit to our members. Over 1450 jobs were posted on the site in 2007 and 236 new
employers registered to use the site.
GARP Internships
Graduate students interested in risk research are encouraged to apply for positions at the GARP offices in
Jersey City, New Jersey, directly across the river from Manhattan andWall Street.
The GARP Digital Library®
With the GARP Digital Library (www.garpdigitallibrary.org) it is no longer difficult for students to find
the most up-to-date and credible resources in financial risk management. The library is the largest online
library dedicated specifically to financial risk management, providing access to the leading finance,
